Our classes are taught in Taipei city in collaboration with Big Blue Dive Center. It is here we will teach the theory of diving. It has a comfortable café where you can relax and meet other divers, in the classroom upstairs you can watch the DVD and do the final test. The confined pool session is held at Songshan Recreation Center, just a short ways away. In the Olympic size pool, we will comfortably learn some basic skills to get you used to using the equipment. For the open water portion, we will go to Long Dong Bay. It is located on the northwest coast of Taiwan not far south of Keelung.
There are several benefits of learning to dive before you go on your vacation. One, you can dive immediately as soon as you find a dive shop of choice. Two, the biggest reason being, you don’t need to study while you are on your holiday. Nobody wants to do quizzes and tests while relaxing at a beach. Three, if you learn this way, you will most likely forget a majority of what you learn and you will need to pay for a refresher course in the future. Four, you will have more time to be more thorough and make sure you understand every concept, every question and complete the course as it was designed.
Now you have a new incentive to travel. If you think Palau, Tahiti, or Maldives are pretty on land, the aquatic world will blow your mind. You will swim among schools of thousands of various types of colorful fish big and small, stare at the adorable sea turtles and they glide by, observe the mystique of a shipwreck, explore the dark corners of caves, be inspired by the gracefulness of manta rays, whales, dolphins and an abundance of other surprises unimaginable to most.
